CONCORD, Calif. (KCRA) —
One person was taken to the hospital after a small plane crashed Friday afternoon at Solano Way and Marsh Drive in Concord, the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District said.
A single-engine GlaStar was returning to Concord due to a mechanical problem when it crashed short of the runway outside the airport, according to the FAA.
The pilot was the only person on the plane when it crashed. That person has been taken to John Muir Medical Center. The extent of the pilot's injuries are unknown.
No other details have been released.
